What you`ll do:


As a (Associate) Developer (f/m/d) of the OData V4 Model of SAPUI5 you will work on a complex interface. After an initial on-the-job training you will participate in all phases of the development, including refining and implementing backlog items, creating concepts, and presenting your work in the review meeting. As a team we use Scrum and perform developments test-driven. An important aspect is that we work together, i.e., we support each other and redistribute work where necessary.


In this role you will:


  • Design, develop and maintain the OData V4 Model of SAPUI5 in JavaScript
  • Work with the OData standard as published at odata.org
  • Perform all development test-driven to ensure 100 % code coverage by automated tests
  • Collaborate with colleagues of other Scrum teams in SAP development. This includes teams providing the backend frameworks RAP and CAP, controls and Fiori elements development as well as application development.
  • Process issues of internal and external consumers of the OData V4 Model
  • Participate in all phases of our Scrum process
  • Support your colleagues in achieving the goals of the team.


What you bring:


  • University degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong analytical and logical skills
  • Very good programming skills, proficient in at least one object-oriented programming language; JavaScript is a plus
  • You are capable to take decisions quickly and work calm and collected under time pressure
  • Understanding of agile development processes and the willingness to help improve the processes of the Scrum team
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Fluent English language skills oral and written
  • Good German language skills oral and written

Our department is responsible for delivering state of the art web frameworks and services for the User Interfaces of SAP applications. In this context SAPUI5 was developed, a highly scalable cross-browser JavaScript-framework. Within the SAPUI5 Core team we are responsible for the development and maintenance of the OData V4 Model. SAPUI5 is also available for the community outside of SAP under the name of OpenUI5, see https://www.openui5.org.
